Ihophe Cottage Overview

The cottage sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms and has 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped including stove and microwave oven.The comfortable lounge has a TV. There is a portable braai for those summer evenings or wintery afternoons. Lovely hikes are on the property, Bushmen painting caves are not far away, or major hikes starting from close-by Monks Cowl Parks Board Station. A falconry farm is close by with regular displays and trout fishing at the Bell Park Dam. Several good restaurants are in the valley as well as a number of interesting curio shops, boasting among other things candle-making and rug weaving. Helicopter flights are also available. An 18 hole golf course is situated at the Sports & Racket Hotel. The world famous Drakensberg Boys' Choir is a stones throw away. Regular concerts are held each week in the school auditorium during term. Enjoy the complete peace of the moody mountains, the brilliant starry skies at night, wonderful bird-life, summer storms and winter snows.
